Jackie Coulson - 500 hour certificate

Jackie has been practising Yoga for 12 years and first trained to teach Hatha Yoga in India in 2005. She's been enjoying teaching for the last four years and has been grateful for the opportunity to further her training with Vajrasati, which she has just completed (September 2009).

Jackie's teaching style is creative and fluid, partly due to her broad inspiration across disciplines. Her Vajrasati training helps bring in a meditative feel to her Hatha flowing practise, incorporating the core principles of Sthira Sukham (finding the balance between strength or effort and ease) as well as an emphasis on postural awareness. Jackie's interest in the body also took her to India to study Yogic massage.

Classes vary from fluid and playful, to stronger and meditative. An emphasis on a connection with the breath however, is underlying in all classes. This breath connection helps bring about a deep release and the feeling of absorption which underlies the Vajrasati principles.

Jackie is known for her nurturing and supportive style that welcomes all abilities.

She holds her full 500 hour Vajrasati teachers certificate.
